On July 10, 2020, Texila American University, Zambia, conducted an online session on technology trends on the topic “Technology After COVID-19.” It covers technology trends such as online education, telehealth, robotics, drones, and others.
The discussion emphasized largely on how technology has revolutionized our home and workspace on how we enhance our life and workflow to make out better productivity from our efforts.
The participants were also educated on various other tips for the effective use of technology; working from home was also a topic of discussion during the session—the general social mindset during and after the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the society was also in the center of the debate.
The use of technology and its importance in our life have been paramount. Technology, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic, has proven to be a boon for us. Work from home has become the new normal and has proven to be quite a solution where there were for and against discussions with varied opinions. Other areas of interest in the presentation included increased productivity using technology, teaching with technology, and social or dyadic media.
These topics were immensely helpful for the participants to understand the dynamics of work and technology and how it impacts our lives.
